Polymer Clay Workshop
March 29, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Polymer Clay Workshop
Special guest instructor Sue Gentry will be coming in to teach the art of polymer clay and how to make your own beads. This is a two-part class, divided over two days:
Day 1: Our first session will introduce you to many of the tools you’ll be using and how to handle the clay. We will be layering and rolling different colors of clay together to create simple canes (logs). We’ll also learn how to make a Skinner Blend and create two different canes with it. These different canes will then be used to create a more complex kaleidoscope cane.
Day 2: After letting our Kaleidoscope Cane and other simple canes rest over night they are now ready to slice and use. Our second session will focus on making different bead shapes and how to use our canes to decorate them. You will not be going home with a completed piece of jewelry but you will leave with the knowledge of how to make your own unique beads.
Dates and Times: Please note that there are two parts to this workshop:
Friday, March 29, 12:30-4:30 AND Saturday, March 30, 10:30-12:30
Difficulty Level: Beginner – no experience needed! | Technique: Polymer clay | Instructor: Sue Gentry
Cost: $75 plus materials (details will be emailed to registrants)
Since this class has a guest instructor, students may not use their Laura’s Bead Addicts Membership Club cards and it also does not qualify for our “first time is free” promotion. Payment is required in advance and 48 hours notice on cancellations are required in order to receive a refund.
Registration: These sessions are very small in size, so we are only accepting registrations in person or over the phone. We will be scheduling additional sessions as there is interest.
