Peyote with a Twist 102
January 23, 2021 @ 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Peyote with a Twist 102
The “Peyote with a Twist” technique recently developed by Gerlinde Lenz is one of the most popular techniques in beading. The finished piece will look very similar to bead crochet without all the headaches of crochet. In this second workshop we’ll take the stitch to the next level by stitching it from a grid to create a beautiful geometric design designed by Laura.
Prerequisite: Registrants for this class must have already either taken the Peyote with a Twist 101 class at our shop, or stitched along with Jill Wiseman’s video of the same technique.
A tutorial will be distributed to participants at the beginning of class.
Technique: Peyote with a Twist
Difficulty Level: Intermediate 2
This piece is suitable for beaders who are comfortable with reading bead patterns and know many of the common stitches and terminology
Please note that these prices do not include materials. Material costs vary.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be submitted a minimum of 2 business days prior to the event in order to receive credit that can be used towards another class or merchandise. This policy also applies to registrants using a pre-paid multi-class package to avoid having the class deducted from your total. (Please note that due to the limited staffing we have at this time, we will not be able to do reminder calls before all classes, so be sure to put your dates on your calendar.)
Materials & Supplies Needed (approximate)
In class we will be working on stitching the tube itself, requiring:
- Five colors of size 11/0 seed beads (one tube of each is sufficient)
- Fireline and a beading needle
Once you are ready to finish assembling the bracelet at home you will also need:
- Flexible beading wire, crimps & crimp covers
- Accent beads for ends (8mm round work great)
- Something to fill your tube for support; either mesh tubing or size 6/0 seed beads
- Single strand clasp
An awl & thread burner not required, but are very helpful!
We kindly ask that you use beads purchased at our store when in our beading room.
