Odd-Count Peyote Workshop: “Diamonds”

April 14, 2021 @ 10:30 am 12:30 pm

Odd-Count Peyote Workshop: “Diamonds”

This is the perfect class for those of you who have learned the basics of peyote stitch and are ready to try the next step. In this workshop you’ll learn how to stitch a peyote bracelet by reading a grid and word chart. You’ll start working with size 11 Delica beads and creating a pretty diamond design. In order to create a design with perfectly centered diamonds, odd-count peyote is required and we’ll help you learn the tricky turnaround. Lastly you’ll learn how to use the Peyote Quick Start Card, which we think you’ll just love!

Pre-Requisite:  This class requires that you already have some knowledge of peyote stitch.

Peyote tutorial written by Laura, based on an original brick stitch pattern by Carole E. Hanley called “Dancing Diamonds” that appeared in Beadwork magazine in 2015 . We will distribute a copy on the day of class.

Instructor: Laura

Technique: Odd-count peyote

Difficulty Level: Intermediate 2
This piece is suitable for beaders who are comfortable with reading bead patterns and know many of the common stitches and terminology
